My husband took me to Bo Brooks this afternoon. We intended to have crabs and spend the evening overlooking the harbor. First thing when we entered the hostess didn't extend any kind of a welcome--just asked us if we were walk ins and the seater took us wordlessly to the deck where we waited for 20 minutes looking at the back of a big tent between us and the harbor before anyone came to give us a menu. We waited another 15 minutes for our appetizer and had finished it by the time she returned to realize the other appetizer had not been delivered. By then we had decided dinner would be a mistake. The calamari was okay and the sauce was good, but the crab guacamole appetizer needs to be renamed guacamole with a teaspoon of crab on it served with cold grease tortillas. We were so glad to leave, but felt so ripped off. What a shame for a place with such a gorgeous location and a good name in Baltimore to have given us such a rotten afternoon.
